Fact-Checking Policy
People walk into salons and get ready for weddings using our pages, so the details matter. This is how Hairstyle Designs reviews what it publishes.
What we review
- Hair length and texture. Each look states the minimum length it needs and whether it works on straight, wavy or curly hair.
- Face shape advice. Suggestions follow widely used styling guidance on balance and proportion. They are a starting point, not a rule.
- Cut terms. Clipper guard numbers, fade levels and cut names are written the way barbers commonly use them, so you can repeat them at the shop.
- Upkeep. Styling times assume an average pair of hands at home. Trim intervals are typical ranges.
- Hair care. We avoid advice that strains hair, such as very tight styles worn every day or heat without protection.
What we leave out
- Salon prices, which change from city to city.
- Celebrity names, film characters and product brand recommendations.
- Medical claims about hair fall or scalp conditions. For those, please see a dermatologist.
